1. Your authority to release equipment
You represent that your business owns the equipment, or has written authority from the owner to transfer it. Equipment must be free of leases, liens, security interests, or third-party claims that prevent transfer. You are responsible for obtaining required internal approvals and identifying the items authorized for collection.
2. Transfer of ownership
Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, all right, title, and ownership in the identified equipment transfer to Apex IT Recycling when your authorized representative releases it and Apex or its authorized collection representative accepts physical possession at pickup. Submitting an online request alone does not transfer ownership. Items we decline to collect remain your responsibility.
3. Processing after transfer
After ownership transfers, you authorize Apex to evaluate, sort, transport, dismantle, recycle, refurbish, reuse, resell, or otherwise lawfully process accepted equipment, subject to agreed data-destruction instructions and written restrictions. No payment, resale proceeds, or return of equipment is promised unless agreed in writing before collection. Processing may be irreversible, so confirm your equipment list before handover.
4. Data and intellectual property
Equipment ownership does not give Apex ownership of your confidential information or intellectual property, or permission to use its contents. Back up information you need and identify devices containing sensitive data. Certified onsite or offsite destruction and related certificates must be included in the agreed service scope; a general recycling pickup does not by itself promise a particular destruction method or certificate.
5. Special instructions
Restrictions on reuse, resale, destinations, or processing must be provided and accepted in writing before handover. Remove activation locks and management enrollments where appropriate. Do not send passwords through the pickup form. A separate signed agreement controls if it conflicts with these website terms.
6. Eligibility, fees, and scheduling
Free pickup applies to five or more qualifying items; courtesy accessories do not count toward that minimum. Item acceptance, access conditions, additional services, fees, and pickup timing are confirmed before scheduling. A form submission is a request, not a guaranteed booking or quote.
7. Safe and accurate handover
Disclose damaged batteries, hazardous substances, contamination, oversized items, and access restrictions in advance. Apex may decline unapproved or unsafe items. Do not include personal property or equipment that your business does not intend to release.
8. Questions and applicable law
California law governs these terms, subject to applicable mandatory law. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded. Contact info@apexitrecycling.com before collection if ownership, processing instructions, or service scope is unclear. Changes published after a completed handover do not retroactively change its agreed terms.
